Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park Public Scoping Meetings
Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park is preparing an Environmental Assessment to examine alternatives for the creation of a “Cultural Live-in Center” to develop a facility for Hawaiian cultural activities and cultural education classes.
The Park is holding two informational Open House style scoping meetings for the public to learn more about the project and share their mana’o:
Thursday, January 21 at Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park amphitheatre, 6-8pm
and
Saturday, January 23 at Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park at Kaloko Picnic Area, from 9 am -12pm. To access this event, for safety reasons please head south on Queen Ka’ahumanu Highway and turn right (makai) on the Kaloko access road.
Direction signs will be posted along the roadside.
