Before there were grocery stores and modern markets, the people who lived in Hawaii got many of their fish from fishponds. Listen as Ranger Jon of Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park explains the importance of fishponds to the Hawaiian people and their continued significance for us today.

    Hello , i am an archaeologist from Peru, i just read a little about Fishponds , and saw some photos of these special tradition and technic of the ancient and actual hawaian societies.

    Im very interest about these theme, please can you send some articules to my mail, i have the idea that this technic also was used by the precolumbian cultures in the shores of Peru.

    i want to investigate about that.
