Welcome to the National Park Service's official blog for America's National Parks in the Pacific. Join us as we EXPLORE our Natural Wonders, CELEBRATE our Unique Cultures & HONOR our Heroes. Aloha, Talofa, & Hafa Adai!
My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you weather the tsunami. The visits I made to the National Parks in Hawai’i (especially the Big Island) are some of my fondest travel memories, and I hope everyone’s safe and sound.
We appreciate it so much! Our parks are still assessing the situation at this time, but this is just part of the experience of living and working in Hawaii. Whether it’s volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, hurricanes or tsunamis, we’re pretty busy a lot of the time on this island! Mahalo nui loa & Aloha!
We were just there last month, sorry for your lost, hope you will recover soon, so more people can appreciate the site. Our prayers are with you good people, from the mainland.
My heart goes out to the west side folks who have suffered losses once again. Sad to see that Palace got hit again. The coming weeks will
Prove challeging, but surely we will all pull together
