This Morning’s Close Encounter with Sharks

The following videos were taken at Pu’ukohola Heiau National Historic Site this morning. Normally home to Blacktip Reef Sharks, this morning park rangers saw two other varieties of sharks very close to shore in Pelekane Bay. Enjoy!
Pu`ukohola Heiau rises above Pelekane Bay on the Island of Hawaii. It was here in the early 1790′s that King Kamehameha the Great began his epic unification of the Hawaiian Islands. (Photo used by permission)
