Tropical Cyclone Evan will affect the American Samoa islands during the next two days. Increased winds and heavy rain have begun. Winds are estimated to reach over 100 mph by tomorrow.

Park offices closed at noon and staff were sent home to prepare their homes for the impending cyclone.
