Nap Time…

November 7, 2011

An endangered Hawaiian monk seal takes a nap this morning on a remote beach on the Big Island of Hawaii. There are only 3 or 4 seals that call the Big Island home. Most of the approximately 1,000 others make their homes in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. (Used by Permission; Greg Cunningham)

What a fantastic image. The seal just looks so comfy and I’ll say it, human like. :) Here’s hoping the Hawaiian Monk Seal gets off the endangered list.
