    Question? Another WWII combat vet and neighbor Jack Garrett, who passed away at Christmas last year, mentioned “huge crabs were everywhere”. I’m assuming he was referring to coconut crabs but I know he was not on Saipan. How widespread are those things in the SWPacific? Thank you.

      Neither of the crabs depicted in this video are coconut crabs. As far as coconut crab distribution,these large, mostly noctural crabs can be found in many places across the Indo-Pacific. Thanks for your question.
