Earth Days on the Big Island of Hawai’i

April 23, 2013

All over the country and in many parts of the world, people take time in mid-April to remember the Earth and its precious resources by celebrating our relationship with it. The National Park Service celebrated in many places and in many ways all over the U.S. map. On Hawai’i Island, the NPS engaged students and families with interactive nature games at two community fairs. On Friday, the NPS was invited to the UH Hawai’i Community College 2013 Earth Day Fair in Hilo, and on Saturday it was off to the 2013 Earth and Ocean Family Health and Fun Fair at Kealakehe High School in West Hawai’i.
