Operational Leadership Training for Park Rangers in American Samoa

National Park of American Samoa staff participated in the National Park Service Operational Leadership Training. Conducted by John Broward and Jon Maka’ike from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, this course is designed to promote employee responsibility and safety awareness. It focuses on finding ways to reduce the probability of human error by increasing individual team effectiveness.

This training is for everyone that works in the park–from administration and maintenance to visitor protection, resources management, and interpretation and education.
