Students from Local College Summer Program Visit their National Park

June 20, 2013

Ranger Sam speaking to students about the beauty of the great outdoors.Summer Institue students in front of park entrance at Fagasa Pass. These students were able to learn what a “national park” is and what it means for the island as well as hike through our native rainforest and experience for themselves attempts by our Terrestrial crew to eradicate invasive trees and re-plant native trees.

We would like to thank Mrs. Pauline Tuitele McFall and her class for visiting and the KVZK-TV station for capturing this trip as part of our summer promotion to get people out into the park.
