Summer is here and that means our Hawaii Island National Parks are getting ready for their annual Hawaiian Cultural Festivals! The season’s first festival will take place on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30 at Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. This event draws you in to traditional Hawaiian culture through a variety of arts and crafts, hands-on activities, hula performances, traditional food tasting, and the always popular “hukilau” on Sunday.

"Hukilau, hukilau!"

“Hukilau, hukilau!”

Some of the activities will only be held on one of the days, so be sure to look at the poster below carefully so you can plan your visit. Better yet, come to both days and see it all! Aloha
