Trail scenes

Willing hands, interested people and stories of the past becomes a combination that calls for hands-on work. Halau Na Kipu’upu’u hiked to a trail worksite to hana hana (work) and add their hands to kokua on a trail stabilization project this past week. Greeted by the trail crew, these community members were just the first of many that will put their mana into the rocks that are stacked on the wall. The olokea (traditional Hawaiian ladder system) framed the pathway used by many travelers through the area. Mahalo for your kokua.
