Large Surf Hits Kaloko Fishpond

A large winter swell has hit the Hawaiian Islands and many West Hawaii Beaches are closed. Kaloko fishpond road continues to be closed today as large waves have been washing into the picnic area. As often occurs this time of year, the large waves can cause significant damage on Kaloko fishpond wall, a dry stack wall that requires continual maintenance
