Hui Aloha Kiholo and The Nature Conservancy, who have worked with and on the Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail on several projects, will be having their first 2014 Restoration Work Day at Ka Loko o Kīholo in North Kona on Saturday, January 18th, 2014 at 9:00am-3:00pm.

Here is their invitaion: Please join us for a very special volunteer work day at Kīholo Fishpond. With your kokua, we will be removing invasive vegetation from the pond edge and clearing old debris, to restore the fishpond to provide food for us in the future. In addition to our restoration work day (9am-12:00pm), we would like to invite you to a talk-story about the ponds with Hui Aloha Kīholo (1-3pm), where we will be sharing our connections and history of Kīholo, and our vision for the future.

Please RSVP (rmost@tnc.org) by Thursday Jan 16th. Please feel free to share this invitation with friends and ohana. Directions and details will be emailed the day before the event.

Potluck Lunch (12:00-1:00pm) Drinks, Water and Rice will be provided.

Hat/sunscreen/Bathing Suit
Hiking Boots/Tabis (Water Shoes)
Gloves
Protective Clothing
Water Bottle
Hand tools
Beach Chair
