The National Park of American Samoa visited the Home of the Dolphins, Le’atele Elementary School at Fagasa village. Park Rangers Sam and Pua conducted a curriculum-based-program about “Navigation and Wayfinding” in coordination with the crew members from Hōkūle’a and Hikianalia as part of their voyage here in American Samoa.

“… Two Thumbs Up! …”

Levels five to eight students were given the chance to listen and learn about how the different factors such as ocean, celestial bodies, animals, and wind to guide them to their next destination. The crew members of Hōkūle’a and Hikianalia were all hands-on-deck as they educated these young minds with the mission of their voyage. Not to mention that they had a blast engaging with the students!
